SAN PABLO RESERVOIR FISH REPORT
March 26,2012
BOAT LAUNCH OPEN 7 DAY’S A WEEK AND INSPECTOR ON SITE
The San Pablo Reservoir  hours are 6:30am to 6pm with all boaters needing to be off the water by 5pm.The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week  and snacks and drinks are available aswell as bait and tackle. Our last Trout plant of 1200 lbs. was performed on Tuesday  March 20,2012 with Department of Fish and Game also planting 2,000 lbs. that day and another 1,000 lbs. Wednesday March 21,2012. Trout plants take place weekly but numbers from Department of Fish and Game may change.  The Trout bite has picked up  a little with the despite the rain but people are still bringing them in! The water temperature is roughly at about  53 degrees. The Berkley Power bait and Power egg  colors such as Chartreuse, Rainbow and Spring Green are still working aswell as the Berkley Mice Tails in addition to the Power bait Trout Dip in Garlic or Roe scents. Night Crawlers and the Berkley Gulp Salmon Eggs Fluorescent Orange and Flourescent Red have also been working. Rapalas like the broken back Fire Tiger and Shad lures aswell as Rainbow Spinners  still seem to be the  lures of choice trolling.

I got a PM from audieb explaining that Danglin had directed them here.  I can respect that considering all that Don does.

I also explained that to ingratiate oneself, a simple hello and introduction goes a long way.
Welcome audieb.  :smt006

Hello Audieb:  Keep me posted on the action as we are having a HOW event there April 5.   When a vet gets a fish one the first time kayak fishing,  the reaction is amazing.  Welcome.

San Pablo Reservoir, EBMUD and Rocky Mountain Concession has been stepping up for HOW...

I've told them about the site and they asked if they could post a report about the lake...

I do not see where it is problem to hear what they have to say about what is going on at the reservoir ...

Just hope we would show our NCKA sprit here

The lake has rules, that's just the way it is, especially in a densely populated urban area...

and information to those rules can help you plan a better day at the lake...

This is a very friendly group and welcoming to all, and yes, it is usually customary as one is joining the forum to introduce themselves and what your about...

So keep the reports coming and if it is a problem, I'm sure our moderators will chime in to what that is...

As I do not know what that could be,,,,  :smt102

I do apologize to those that I might have set off in any way as to doing this reporting is new to me. And as far as an Introduction as you may already know my name is Audie and I do work at the SAN PABLO RESERVOIR at the Boat Launch area. Thank you to those that have extended the olive branch in welcoming me to your site and will try not to rile anyone in the process.

All I can say is, Thank you for the reporting. Hopefully you can keep it up on a daily basis. There are a lot of hard core fishermen here and up to the minute info is a valuable thing. Thanks again.
