Jim is one of those people out there that you wish you have, or have had him as a friend during your lifetime. I am fortunate enough to call him a friend.
It was not that long ago that I was introduced to him down at Stillwater thanks to Andy. Pretty much crushed my hand when I met him and still does the same every time I see him. One of those folks that you know are a genuine person right off the bat. I didn't have much other than a kayak and an ambition to start spearfishing but he made me feel welcome. He offered up any and all of his equipment to me if I wanted. A week later I was out trying to bag some fish. I might have been seasick and throwing up like crazy but at least he was taking a noob out on the water. Long story short I have been diving with him for awhile now and love every minute of it (can't say the fish say the same since he manages to bag all of them). I can tell you that he is the last person to want/take anything from anyone and that is exactly why I feel he is a great candidate for this. Put me on the list for helping out.
