Me too, then I watched a couple bounce off rocks. Not so much anymore.

THat Sh%# is crazy! I used to walk my dogs there and shoot their wings with BB's!!   Me and Chad's boss is a big time hang glider pilot.  He does fort funston, shasta, and Mt. Tam.  Im Pretty sure that you should do it Mooch!

I have friends who pay for a tandem ride at Mt. Tamalpais with certified instructor and love it.  This is on my bucket list.

I don't have interest in the hang gliding, I'll stick to my delta stunt kites. I get the hang glide fix and I don't have to risk my neck. That said, I'll say that a good zip line gives me plenty of adrenaline.

I enjoy watching the gliders though.

Hmmm...I went on a zipline tour in Costa Rica, and one of our group was 300# probably. He had a rough time of it at first, then one of the guides whipped out an additional harness strap that stabilized the big guy, who did fine after that.
Those ziplines were old-school, with manual brakes (thick leather gloves). I went last, and got to experience the "bounce", where a guide sets up a wave in the cable as you progress, so that you end up with a vertical movement of 10-12 feet as you zip along. it was awesome.

I would be down to try the redwood one.
