Leaving the wifey with the kids on Mamma's day to attend GS6 with ya'll, and then hitting the NWKA ORC at Depoe Bay Oregon on Fathers day is what it is.

She knows that me being over 40, a midlife crisis could erupt at any moment.   :smt044

Keep me sane, and she keeps the old me, nag me to pieces and life will flip on its head.
She's gunna have some girl time soon, but she don't know it.  I'm looking at sending her,  her mom, and my mom (they all are good friends) to a spa for a day of pampering.    :smt061

Insayn,
Is the father's Day event open to us Norcalians?  My brother has a place in Lincoln City.  I think that's pretty close to Depoe Bay, isn't it?  I'm thinking maybe it's time to combine a family visit with some Oregon fishing?

I just realized I will never be able to compete in this tournament as long as the regs stay the same for the season opener.

That's why like my previous GS, I am driving back down on Saturday n ight high on red bull...
Peace!

Hey Eric, just wondering about visiting and hanging out with friends this weekend if it will cause any trouble being that we aren't staying there. Will there be like a guest parking? So stoked to hear we are going to have a good weather.

Hey Jedmo.
I had the same thought.  I think our place is close enough to walk.  If we choose to drive, we could park across the street at the lighthouse.  No sense giving anybody an opportunity to have a problem.

Yeah, Jed, if you can show up on foot that would be great, or park in the field to the north of The Tides - there's an entrance to the patio through the fence at the north end.

Wow.  We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lucky!  I am in awe of how this forecast is shaping up.  Here's what NWS just came out with for Saturday:

.WED...N WIND 20 TO 30 KT. COMBINED SEAS 9 TO 11 FT. PATCHY FOG.  .WED NIGHT...N WIND 20 TO 30 KT. COMBINED SEAS 13 TO 15 FT.
.THU...N WIND 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 6 TO 8 FT. NW SWELL 11 TO 13 FT.
.FRI...N WIND 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 6 TO 8 FT.
.SAT...NW WIND 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 4 TO 6 FT. PATCHY FOG.

Wednesday and Thursday really look crappy, and Friday has improved to so-so/promising for pre-fishing, but Saturday's forecast is close to ideal.  Wow!   :smt007
Haha, I KNOW I wasn't the only one checking on the forecast all day while at work!  So stoked to see that Saturday's weather won't ruin the fishing.  Of course, I don't wanna jinx it so maybe I'll just continue to quietly watch the forecast updates and giggle to myself as things shape up for the Big Day.  Keeping my fingers crossed all the way til Friday evening!

Yeah, Sunday's conditions look to be primo, and I'm hoping Saturday afternoon/evening's going to glass off for the epic 70 degree Tides Patio Sunset.   :smt007

I'm staying over Sunday to fish some more.  Too far to drive and such a beautiful place in California for just one day.  I'm  really looking forward to seeing and being around like minded people.   I'll take care of mother's day before I leave Friday.  Can't forget Mom.

Ray,

I'm thinking what your thinking. I'll have to sneak out early before the wife wakes. I'll make sure she has plenty of wine the night before to seal the deal. Ok, Operation Secret Squirrel. Who else is in?
