GS6 - 5/12/12 - Another Year in the Books - Thank you to all who participated

Any staging to the left of the concrete will be in the way, IMO.  Stage up against the breakwater or we'll be in the way of tractors and trucks.

If it's blown out on Thursday, I will be building a rod. If folks are interested, I could do it in the campground and folks can come by and ask questions. I will have my rod wrapper and and I can teach guide wrapping.

Thanks Scott. I would absolutely like to watch a rod building lesson.

Thanks for the visual Eric...that really helps clear it up for me where to unload and launch.

Chris and I are going to be without wheelez unfortunately (long story, but too late to do anything about it), but will unload as stealthily and quickly as possible and get the truck out of there ASAP or borrow wheelz from someone else on tourney morning.

I'm going out of my mind here wanting to be up there and in the water already!!!!

ps...dive and fish and kayak and cooking gear packed in truck. Beer bought. Chris comes over tomorrow after work to load his stuff and strap the yaks on...will be leaving at 3am I think to try and get in the water on Wednesday before wind and swell pick up...fingers crossed that we get decent conditions for pre-tourney diving...otherwise I may have to dive in the AM on tourney day before pulling out the fishing poles!

.WED...N WIND 20 TO 30 KT. COMBINED SEAS 9 TO 11 FT. PATCHY FOG.  .WED NIGHT...N WIND 20 TO 30 KT. COMBINED SEAS 13 TO 15 FT. 
.THU...N WIND 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 6 TO 8 FT. NW SWELL 11 TO 13 FT. 
.FRI...N WIND 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 6 TO 8 FT. 
.SAT...NW WIND 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 4 TO 6 FT. PATCHY FOG.

Wednesday and Thursday really look crappy, and Friday has improved to so-so/promising for pre-fishing, but Saturday's forecast is close to ideal.  Wow!

Im ditching my lady and my mom this mothersday weekend as well as not going to my cousins funeral..I though long and hard about this decision, and you know what its gonna be my time. What other place I could imagine being to clear my sole... Im leaving wed right after work! See you at the cove!

I'm out,all I heard from the lady was second saturday art show that I encouraged her to do at my shop. When I told her the date she blew the gasket! So it's in the books for next year.
Birddog will need a new team/someone to buddie up with,he will also pick up my swag.
