Anybody want to take a guess at how many pages this will end up at :smt005
Just curious ..... what is the longest thread in NCKA history?

Last year's (GS5) thread was 70 pages I think.

Maybe this one will go 71...   :smt001

Jude,
Come up and fish with us. You'll have just as much fun, meet new friends and eat the best foods.  The experience will be just the same! The prizes are nice if one can place, but fellow yakkers' praises for a big fish are better!

Is there a decent grocery store there? We got a long haul with a loaded truck. Less stuff we gotta pack the better.

Depend what's your definition of decent  :smt003  Yes SC has a general store with minimal goods and a gasoline pump.  If you need lots of groceries, I would pick them up at Garberville's supermarket.

How fars that?

Don't bother buying groceries just support the local restaurants!  :smt001 Not sure if the sushi place is still open at the Inn of the Lost Coast but will need to check out  I like the pizza place makes a great pizza! The fish and chips , clam chowder at the campground is very good.

When you turn off of 101 at Garberville to head to Shelter Cove you pass through the town of Redway and they have a decent store right before you make the left to go to Shelter Cove.  About 23 miles away and 45 minutes to drive.

Ive only been to yaks caples event. Relatively new to ncka & never thought of attending anything till auburn asked me the other day about gs6. The lady broke her leg in 3 places in roller derby so honestly I cant make plans just hoping she heals, but Im a horrible planner anyway. Had I payed attention I may have just sent the $ cash as support, giving me the opportunity to show up spontaneously, or not... Perhaps I need a booking agent for my kayakfishing career like I have for my music career... Lol its no worries...

If you can make it, I would encourage you to just show up, even if you can't compete in the tourney...you won't regret it.
