GS6 - 5/12/12 - Another Year in the Books - Thank you to all who participated

OK I think I have an assortment of everything for the rockfish and salmon  BUT the one thing I dont' have is bait for mooching.  FW in Sacto was out of chovies.  They had sardines but I passed.  I still have another day before I head up.  What frozen bait should I bring?  They also had two more double deep sixes if anyone really needs one. Let me know I think I can sneak in another run up there if need be.

I'll buy the Anchovies and squids for you.  Could you please get me 1 double deep-six?  We'll settle the "scores" at the cove.

Packed the truck for hours!     I'm ready to have a leisurely morning with a good breakfast, gathering my last gear, and hitting the road with the kids by mid morning.  Should get down there at lunchtime - look for and honk at Abking rig along the side of the road with carsick kids.

I'm actually computerless for the weekend, Sonny - other than my iphone.  I'll take plenty of pics and videos this year, but I'll leave the live posting to someone else.  I'm surprised Big Jim hasn't gotten us an update - I hope they got some abs and uni on the low tide this morning.   

I'll bring my laptop with me.

I'll probably roll into the group site camp about noon. The beer will be cold and the crab trap ready. Stop in I'll save you a cold one.

Rig is loaded, trailer packed, tackle and gear ready to rock, should be heading over the hill by 10am and into the cove around 3ish.  I'm bringing my laptop and have WiFi at the pad so I'll try to get some live updates rolling. Fishy dreams!

birddog you can join me and kevins team , I'm sure once were on the water you will be surrounded by folks but you can claim us as your team.

Hello, and welcome to Gimme Shelter 6th Annual Kayakfishing Tournament.  On Saturday, May 12th, 2012 we will open the rockfish/lingcod season along the North Coast. 

Wow, I cant believe it's finnally here!  I'm leaving in 2 hours!    Cant wait to enter the realm of Da Cove again for the 4th year in a row    What a weekend this is gonna be!!!
