GS6 - 5/12/12 - Another Year in the Books - Thank you to all who participated

Sailfish, I got the very last one at FW.  Met another member "?wingshooter" up there.  He is renting a house and bringing the whole family!  Also spoke with with Cat at FW and she is going to make it up there too!  Everyone interest or thought we were all nuts!

Should have read everyone in the store thought we were nuts.

         TEAM SIGN UPS CLOSED 
    I will be at Erics' safety/intro meeting at the launch
and at the campground Friday evening for teams
needing to make final adjustments.
No team adds or drops will be accepted after 9:00 p.m. Fri.
(unless I'm still awake and you bring some bribe payola, gear or beer)

TEAM TOURNEY RULES
1. Team Average Format
    Total team points divided by the number of anglers on team=Team score
2. All scores on the team will be averaged,
     whether an angler fished or not,
     posted a score or not,
     got skunked or not
     or was a no show.
3. Late scores will not be accepted.
    Once The main board closes it's done.

Finally,
 Some of you know I'm not the "competitive type" when it comes to fishing.
I started the Team Tourney component of Gimme Shelter last year (Thanks Eric!)
as a way for me to personally give back to the community (NCKA) and tournament (Gimme Shelter)
that has been so influencial in my life over the past 5 years.
It's my hope that we can "compete" in the true spirit of sportsmanship,
to congratulate and celebrate the victorious and come to the realization
that we are all winners when we are on the water together persuing our passion!

Getting ready to leave in 14 hrs, my kayak hasnt showed up yet but its getting close. I still have to put rod holders on it, figure out some sort of tacke storage set up, and maybe sleep.  Nothing like a maiden voyage on turnny day to make you feel confidant

Just left  the Headwaters. Thanks Dan for giving me Saturday off. On my way home to put gear in the Truck and then heading out in the morning. I am super excited, can't wait to spend some time at the cove.

No one got any live updates from the cove yet. Probably all partying too hard to get on the internet.

On my way,  Left Santa Rosa at 5 am...drove to San Jose for a "bank job" then back to Santa Rosa..packed and on my way. Whew...talk about a road trip.
