The rules and because it is late in the season favors rings IMHO. If you can spend a bit more, you will catch more crabs and lobsters with the promar ambush hoops.

Hell, I thought that May was late in the season Scott.

It will be interesting to see what types of traps end up working the best out there.

I'd put money it that a snare packed with fresh bait checked every couple minutes would be the most productive.  :smt002

If nothing else it will give them something to do. Sea Kayaks don't have much deck space, but Vwool says that a promar will collapse and fit on the front deck. I will also have a bunch of sit on for them to use so hopefully over the weekend everyone can try something different.

The waiver is now attached on the first page. Please bring the waiver filled out and turn it in prior to launching kayak at start time. All participants must turn in a waiver.

Also please note that the registration time may change according to the time the Day use parking will be open. The Day use lot is open from sunrise to sunset.

There is also a $6 parking fee for day use, the gate only accepts cash.

This is a get together and not an offical event. The park will have no information on this gathering so if you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

I'm in and is there an email address we can send filled out waiver PDF's to?

I can bring it the morning of but I'm sure it's going to be busy and want to maximize water time.

Everyone does realize that there are very few crabs left at Doran, right?

I can't wait to chill with my folks, but the crabbing has been really, really slow lately.

Whoever wins will no doubt put in some work.

That's my plan. 4 hoops, a ton of bait courtesy of 99 Ranch and spot jump you all day Dustin.  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

I plan to be there. I'll be sharing a camp site with Hobie Dave and Pam.

Don't forget they also need a crab gauge to be legal on the water  :smt002  If I can find my missing ones, i'll have a couple extras to share.

don't you need a fishing license as well ?
