There a lot of good looking entries along there, including Fanshell.

I'm down to try launching the yak over there!

Where we were at I know people have jumped in to shore dive....but I swam over and took a look at it, and at least with the conditions we had (which were actually really nice!) it looked too nasty to me to swim out through the rocks.

Rick and PK, let me know if you ever want to go drive the yaks over that way and give it a shot!!

Jim

Thanks for the report and video Jim.  The visibility is usually great in Winter time for diving.

Jim, I think you're talking about Cypress Pt/Fanshell. Keep going along 17Mile and you'll see a bunch of fishy-looking spots. I've seen guys exiting the water at Seal rock. Also saw some guys spearing on scuba in front of Seal beach a few months ago. And I know a 40in butt was speared beside Bird rock a few yrs ago. So I have a feeling there's some quality fish along there because we catch a lot from shore too. But I probably won't be kayaking for a few weeks--had hernia surgery on Monday, so I'm landlocked.

Another awesome outing and video! Ryan and I actually launched outta Bird Rock yesterday and did a recon around both Bird Rock and Cypress Pt. PK is right, there are some quality fish there :) One thing, ya gotta watch out for are the conditions out there; strong swells move directly onshore along with lotsa shallow areas and submerged/shallow washrocks means be careful.

Awesome job done brother! Happy holidays to you and your family :)

Another fishporn masterpiece.. thanks Jim.  Playing catch up, and just enjoying all the vids, wishn I was in 50 degree water instead of working a wreck in 17 degrees.  Winter spearn' is here  :smt044
