Took advantage of stellar conditions to paddle farther North than I have explored before. Cnew83 joined me for the fun.

 :smt004

Plenty of sunshine, glassy seas, no wind, 30+ foot visibility.

 :smt007

Found plenty of yummy RockFish swimming around and happily harvested 10 of them, diving to a max of 39 feet. 8 have already been eaten and the last two will get fried up tomorrow.

Little vid of the AM.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Nice, Jim! That area has a lot of life, only problem is the long paddle. I want to try launching at Fanshell Overlook one day to get quicker access to that stretch.

Had a great time. Had the family over and need to get some more fish soon. The vis is great, it's so nice actually seeing the bottom before you run into it.
Was able to show my brother in law how to fillet a fish even though those fish are non worthy of filleting. Also showed him how to beer batter and fry them up. It will pay off, soon he will be doing the cooking and I can just bring him the fish!
