Do you pee in your wetsuit?

Just don't do it after eating Asparagus guys!

After about 1 hour or so it feels so good to warm up. By then its pretty clear anyway from all the coffee(diuretic). When I was scuba certified in Monterey in 79' the class that was coming in before we went out had a bad thing happen to one of their students. It was a woman and it wasnt pee. Man was that instructor pissed she crapped her pants. So I guess he was pissed in his wetsuit.

Ugh...I've done it a few times.  But only because I was about to burst.  The times I've done it were rough, it's like my mind is screaming "No!  Don't pee on yourself!  That's not right!" That's why I've sworn off coffee when I'm about to go out for a long time in my wetsuit.

The smell is terrible.

Only when diving I might add. Whaddya think? Id pee in my clothes? hehe

DUH Peeing!
It's called the Peter Heater. Best thing to do is paddle real hard to get to speed, then let er rip. This should help drain the peewater faster.
But what do I know? It's not like I'm some sort of expert wetsuit-peeing-while-fishing guy. Or AM I? Hahaha!
I actually wear paddling pants over my farmer john now. So when I want to pee, I just pull the pants down and unzip the front of my wetsuit far enough to whip it out. (Only have to unzip to my chest, fortunately.....hahahaha)
The ironic part is that I usually end up peeing into the footwell from my knees. So again, I'm sitting in peewater until splashing+paddling to get it out.

No matter how much ya sugar-coat it, the fact remains:

Pee in your wetsuit = you're marinating in your own pee

 

Yaking, relief zipper, piss in a bottle, dump it and, paddle away fast. Used to try the foot well but it took to long for the color to disappear.

Diving, not since I got a nice freedive suit, it fits so well that I have dry spots even after 2hr in the water, that means if I piss in it it stays.  (well almost never, age is catching up with me)

back in the days when we dove out of inflatables in 2 piece scuba suits and were in them all day, yeah almost every trip,

First thought...don't read this thread. Second thought... maybe someone has a better way. Personally I have a front zip so I wait until I need to explode... get an arch over the side...most lands into the boat anyway... at least not in my wetsuit  . The waders are another story.

Reminds me of once when my boys were younger... my boys and I were fishing out of a PB when my middle son and I hear my youngest dribbling off the side and pissng on the side of the boat. We gave him a hard time. Next thing I know I have a middle school boy proudly saying to the youngest, "this is how a man pees" and he is literally pissing with a 10 feet stream over the side.... we started to laugh so hard, I believe he pissed all over himself.  To this day it is the customary statement that we use when someone needs to go when fishing.

2-3 times on short dives.  Up to 15+ times on those all day trips.

It's easy to tell who does.  The guy who lands on shore, pulls the yak up on the beach, peels down the upper wet suit to around their waste and then for no reason wanders out chest deep into the waves.  We call that flushing.

to those who dive in regular wetsuits and pee, I salute you, we band of brothers. 

to you miscreants who piss on yourselves whilst on the water rather than in it, no biscuits for you 

relief zipper plus an old water bottle make for easy "flushing" and if you feel a bit sharky, just cap it and carry.

Personally, I like the kelp condom.  Cut off the end of a BIG piece of kelp slip IT in and you have a nice extension bit to wherever you need it.  Just watch out for those little bugs!! Mostly tho I piss in the footwell and take a few hard paddles.
