Forum Reorg ideas

I have had a lot of great ideas for new forums and other forum changes lately. I think I got them all down. I have a tendency to over organize stuff and miss stuff so I need your feedback. Below is a list of the new forum layout I came up with.

Probably want a "other kayaks" page and a regular derby entry page.   

Ok I added the other kayaks section, are there other kayaks? 

The Fishing pool entries should be handled on a seperate page if I ever get it done.

I have a request. Can we have an index of all the Alantani rebuilds and updates?
It would be nice to see all of them on one page.

because alan t. does not have a lot of low-value posts, simply searching on his name yields a fair
treasure trove.

however, I would agree that alan's reel upgrade posts are tantamount to an article,
and presenting them that way would be valuable.

speaking of which, the general fishing tips where alan often posts seems to be gone?

the newb section is gone? it is good to have a 'get help here' kind of forum.

I still like the idea of tips and techiques that are species specific, but it does seem that an article or two
are ideal there. maybe too-sniffer-esque to have species specific sections but I like it.

I added a Fishing gear help section and I will put all of Alan's great post in there.

I was hoping to cover newbie questions in the general forums like "Choosing a Kayak" etc... Instead of a seperate general newbie forum.

ah, trying to anticipate the questions. well, that might work.

certainly it can be embarrassing to have to identify oneself as a newb just
to ask a question. a bit hard on the pride and ego.

looks good but it would be cool to add one more to the fishing zone.

THIS HAPPENED TO ME.    It would encourage some of the more experience kayaker's to tell of things they have encountered in there many years of kayaking. things that they new guys might not  think of asking, or tricks that have work well fishing or kayaking. problems people have had and how they have over come them.

How about the option of members showing their location when they post.
