Wife is taking the girls to Disneyland for the weekend so I am free and have been tasked with getting some abalone for Thanksgiving!!

 

Made a reservation at Albion for Friday and Saturday nights.

Plan is to drive up Friday after work, dive/fish all day Saturday, spend the night, hit it again Sunday AM and head on home.

Looking forward to exploring more coves/spots up there for abs and uni and hopefully spearing my first Mendocino county fish.

Will bring the rod and reel, but that won't be my focus. 

FishMaster1 and family and Bloodbath are coming up too!

My good buddies Robert and Jim Okumoto are renting an RV up at Albion campground and am looking forward to hanging with them as well!

Come on up and fish the tourny with us guys campfire down on the beach and beers among fishermen lets get some.

Sounds like a great time. WIll see if I can swing it. I was thinking about camping at anchor bay just because I can fish and dive there still. Will see closer if I can make it.

Yup.  I'm taking Sarah up to Irish beach for her b-day that weekend. Maybe we will swing in to say hello.

correct me if I'm wrong but is Rock fish season closed in Albion on that date (for hook and line) ?

Fishing from the shore and/or rocks is opened year-round. A kayak trip to offshore formations or hard to access rocks can be very productive.

I was always wondering wha tthe laws were for that. Can you fish off any rock formations that you paddle up to?
