Rob, bring some orange beads. Going to try slingin beads on the drift. One,  and 1/2 ounce egg sinkers  both, and some leader line. Paddle up trolling one rod, then sling em on the drift back. I am bringing other stuff in case it wont work. Packin a lunch to spend the whole day otw. Have made provisions for an airstrike on the pumphouse hole, and walk the rounds east to the watt bridge! Net 'em as they float by!

I'll plan on being off the water by 10. With 4 fish. Not all salmon of course.

Basically flossing them. Put an egg sinker, and then a stop. Then 4-6' leader to a #1 or 1/0 hook with a bead above it. The salmon face upstream, mouth open, and the line "flosses" them, and the hook catches as it goes through. Bankies do it a lot, technically you are snagging them, but in a legal fashion. What I want to try, is the same concept, but in a kayak. Paddle up and cast at 2'oclock and keep tension on the line and feel the weight tickle the bottom, then whammo! Let your setup drift down to 9'oclock, reel in and repeat. Never tried it from a kayak, but that is how a lot of bankies catch salmon and steelies. Worth a shot.

After that piece of crap governor took more of our rights away with the stroke of a pen, might as well enjoy one really shitty law that is still legal, and floss them babies! I can't open carry, and have to register long guns, but I can snag salmon! Funny how the second amendment is just thrown out the window, something that was granted to us by our founding fathers, but something as morally wrong as snagging fish is legal??? god love the state of california. Oh, and by the way, if you are here illegally, go ahead and enroll in the CSU system, free of charge to you! I am just a little disenchanted this morning if you can't tell.

Flossing  :smt011

I honestly think you will catch more fish using flatfish, spinners, spoons or jigs.

Oh, and it aint free for illegal aliens to study at CSUs.
