So far the people driving the farthest are from Folsom. Can anyone top that? It's going to be a great time. Make sure you get your registration forms in early. Multiple people came in today and picked up entry forms. It may take a day or two from when you turn it in to the store to make it on this list.

Damn I wish I could make this one...let's see, my kids birthday party at the bounce house starts at 1:30...if I leave Redding at 2am, fish like crazy, and hit the road at 10...yeah, never mind...have fun guys, I'll be thinking of ya!

I think I will be in on this one. Talked to Novofish before about it. Hope he wants to do it still. If not, anyone want a fishin partner.

 It says on the flyer on pg 1 till the 19th to enter. I could be mistaken too.

I can extend that date as long as people let me know before hand. I'm trying to have all the waivers and checks in a few days before the event. I would rather not spend the time finding out who has or hasn't signed waivers the day before the event. I would rather be drinking beers with fellow kayak anglers. Also, since all the proceeds go to the McKinleyville Skate Park, I would like to have all the money/checks turned in a couple days before the event, so I can present them a check for the correct amount. Get those forms in as soon as possible. Thanks Anglers!

Never fished there before. Where is the launch at? Won't be there till late Fri so will have to check in Sat morn.

Where is the cheapest, closest place to camp in a tent? With showers preferably. I saw tha someone posted Clam Beach is free, but that is not what I found on line. Day use free, camping about $20 something.

Where is the launch at?

Pull up Trinidad Head on Google Earth.  Here are the basics:

- Trinidad "Bay" includes about a square mile of rock garden to the east and southeast of the launch which is about 100 yards northeast of the pier;
- If it's rough or very windy much of the tournament fleet could likely fish in the bay;
- Fishing potentials are good in the bay, but it's known to be a difficult place to catch fish compared to west of the Head;
- Leaving the harbor you paddle west along the south edge of Trinidad Head and you'll typically encounter the prevailing N to NW swell right away after leaving the Prisoner Rock area (south edge of moorings);
- Fishing gets good just west of the Head, and calmer wind and low swell allows venturing further north and west along the nearshore pinnacle and seastack terrain.

Darius and I will be attending your event.  I got the form filled and everything, just waiting for my work boss' approval for the Friday vacation... I don't see a problem though.
