Filed the report to the police yesterday, seems like insurance is hesitant because there was no contingency plan for burglary like alarm and surveillance, landlord (literally not GWS) :smt003 is dealing with the rest,

Oh my Darius... I'm so glad nothing happened to you, as it sounds like you could have been another news story I hear on my way to work each day  :smt012  Sorry for your material losses, but glad it was only that at the same time :smt009  Hope you get out and have a peaceful recovery from this horrible chain of events.  Maybe you will be rewarded by the fish gods once again  :smt002

Sorry to hear about your bad incidences!  Wish I can join you for Shelter Cove but I'm busy with work and moving.  I would give WSB a try if I were you  :smt001

Brother D,
Sorry to hear of your misfortune ... Glad to hear it was just material thing
Really glad to hear you are unharmed, after all you are my best yak customer :smt044
Funny that they baned guns in S.F. and you still got robed at gunpoint (when will the law makers learn?)
Maybe it's time to move out of that crazy town so you can get some serious protection  :smt071  :smt067  :smt066
May the fish gods shine on you this weekend.

Well... What do you know??!! As I ALWAYS have fishing gear in the car and COULD be coming from or going fishing at any time. Interesting exceptions to state gun regulation you should know. Might have helped at the ATM? Glad your OK!

It is unlawful to carry a loaded rifle, shotgun, or handgun in any public place or on any public street in an incorporated area or an area where firing a firearm is prohibited.

Exceptions include:

Persons shooting on target ranges, or while hunting on the premises of a shooting club.

A person who reasonably believes that he or his property is in immediate danger and the weapon must be carried for "preservation."

A person "engaged in the act of making or attempting lawful arrest."

A person carrying a firearm while at home or at his place of business, including temporary residences and campsites.

Carrying a handgun concealed is prohibited without a license. The law states "Firearms carried openly in belt holsters are not concealed within the meaning of this section."

Carrying a handgun concealed within a vehicle is prohibited without a license. A handgun carried in a glove compartment or under the seat of a vehicle is considered to be concealed. A handgun placed in the trunk of an automobile, or locked in a container in the vehicle other than the utility or glove compartment or while in a locked container carried directly to or from a vehicle is deemed not to be "concealed." A locked container means a fully enclosed secure container locked by a key lock or similar locking device.

Exceptions to this prohibition are:

Members of clubs organized for practice shooting while on any established target range or going to and from such range.

Licensed hunters and fishermen while engaged in hunting or fishing and while going to or from such hunting or fishing expeditions and members of an antique or historical collector's club while at a show, or while going to and from a display as long as the weapons are locked in a trunk or are in a locked container.
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Glad you are safe.  Things can be replaced, but lives on the other hand cannot.
Thank God man! I think with that kind of luck, you will go out and catch a 60 lb WSB.  Go for it!

While it is true that the laws on gun carry has a few loop holes in our favor, the geniuses in controll of S.F. laws have made their city safer by outlawing any guns inside the city limits ... see how safe it was for Darius.
Funny how the very laws that our leaders create can negatively affect the innocent.

Thank you for making S.F. safe for the average citizens and blocking the criminals from having their way with the general public .....  :smt013

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Glad you were able to tell the story.
It could have gone a lot worse.
I get so angry when I hear about this stuff.

Darius I am so glad that they didn't hurt you or your family, I know how you feel.

This is why Alain and I moved away from the "bigger" city to a smaller town. Where I used to live that s*** is commonplace and it makes me sick.

Get your chill on Darius
I'm still walking, so I'm sure that I can dance...
