Lil Josh is gonna be elated with joy to know that dad is gonna take him out on the yak for some fishing!! Wherever he goes, I'm quite certain that he will enjoy the father-son time :D

I dunno what ideas ya had so far, but Stillwater South may be an option to take your boy. It's nicely protected inside, the view is spectacular,  and there are fish to be caught :) I'm actually looking into taking my gf's 5 and 3 yr old nephews there sometime this summer. If ya don't have proper gear for him (ie life vest, wetsuit) Monterey Bay Kayaks do rent gear for children, and you're able to take it to SWS for use.

Btw, from the looks of the his picture Josh is truly strong and I too believe that he has superpowers. My prayers of strength and courage go to him.

Jake, If you decide to go to Monterey, let me know. I can meet you there and I can bring my prowler 15 for you to use. I wish I had another kayak for Josh to use. I'm sure another NCKA member can step up and provide another kayak.

I have a Cobra Marauder  (white) with a Humminbird installed I just don't use given I have my T-15 and P-15.
You can borrow it and it's for sale—cheap—if you like it.
The wife of a friend just finished chemo after a radical mastectomy (all the women in her family have died from breast cancer) so I understand a bit what you are going through.
But your kid looks like survivor to me. Future AOTY for sure.
Best wishes and good luck.

I have a toddler-size lifejacket you can borrow. If you're going to Monterey, I'll meet you there. Not sure if your son will be able to paddle his own yak...you may want to consider having him sit in front of you on your yak or in the tankwell w/an extra seat strapped-in. Or maybe borrow a tandem. I m/b able to join you on 7/3 (my son's 4th bday party in 7/2).

Jake let me know what else you need to make sure Josh will have a good time, which I am pretty sure he will, theres nothing better than having to spend time together...My I will make sure to include him on my prayers for speedy recovery..He has superpowers and he can overcome it..
