Mooch, I am interested in going out, but I am just worried about all the boats.  I would go out with someone who knows what average boat travel is.  I can go out either day this weekend if you need someone.
Ed

Ed - let's see what the weather is like on Friday and make the decision. PM me you phone number so we can get in touch. Launching out of Moss Landing will be easy cause we can bypass the line  - since we are not using the launch ramp. The boat traffic will be bad at the mouth of the harbor - that's where we need to be very carefull. I will be using my bike flag just to be more "VISIBLE". I'm also hoping to see some whales while we're out there!! As far as paddling distance, Bill caught his limit within a mile of the mouth - let's hope they're that close  :smt002

Mooch, I got a VHF (remember my LMB announcement @ the forebay?) and a compass.
And a pfd in the hatch, maybe I'll even wear it, who knows?. I'm practically mr. safety!

If you have an extra salmon, I will take that tho,  :smt004.

They are taming down the forecast so Randy and I are going to head out on Sunday from Lover's Point.  Salmon will be our primary target, halibut secondary.

Company welcome.

Joel, did I tell you already that if I was using my connection I wouldn't be sleeping in a tent?   :smt013

I just gotta run the plans by kathy later tonight so I will know for sure what is going on.
