PIF Raffle Rules

The A-Hulls have conferred and have come to agreement on the following rules for the Raffle to make sure there is no confusion or hurt feelings or disgruntled folks.

 

First and foremost, we must ALL remember that the PIF raffle is to raise $$ for Joel and Marv. Period. You are making a donation to them when you buy a raffle ticket, and if you are lucky you win a cool prize! If you don't win anything, or don't win the prize you want, sorry but hey that's the way it goes!

 

So here are the rules:

1. You do NOT have to be present to win any of the prizes. As much as we all want to see the look on the person's face when they win the grand prize, the idea is to sell as many tickets as possible (to raise as much $$ as possible), and we don't want to exclude ANYBODY from buying a ticket and having a chance to win. Prizes will be marked with the name of the winner and stored in my garage until the winner comes to pick it up, or we can make a handoff at a future date. I won't be paying for any shipping or anything like that, but I will do my best to get you your prize as soon as possible one way or another.

2. The grand prize Kayak will be drawn last. This will allow suspense to build and give people the opportunity to buy more tickets as the raffle progresses. The exact order of prize drawing will be posted, but is subject to change given unforseen circumstances (prizes not showing up, more prizes showing up etc).

3. Once a ticket is drawn and the prize is awarded to the ticketholder, that ticket will be removed from the raffle.

If anybody has purchased a ticket and can not live with these rules and has decided against making a donation to Joel and Marv, please let me know and we will refund your money, no questions asked!

I think we may need to stop selling raffle tix once the raffle begins. I'm not sure--just throwing it out there. But it could be a real clusterfunk if we have a bunch of people rush to buy tix during the raffle (or right before the kayak drawing). Instead, just plan to buy all your tix up front.

I might have to weigh my tickets with 2oz weights, to last through to the kayak round.

Its two raffles?!  The "first" raffle has a prize pool that specifically excludes the kayak.  The "second" raffle draws for a single grand kayak prize. 

Any unselected residual raffle tix from the "first" raffle remains eligible for the "second" raffle.  Winning in the "first" raffle automatically increases the chances of losing in the "second" raffle, unless more raffle tix are purchased prior to the "second" raffle drawing.

On all seriousness, one request:

I owe some of sponsors who donated to me, photos of the winners and there prizes for their company publication, etc. So if it would be alright with you, if the winner is not present, can I hang them until they up from me so I can take a photo and send it in?
