Hello all, I've seen videos of the Transducer Deployment Arm on youtube, and it shows the transducer facing aft of the boat, question is, aren't they supposed to be facing forward? noob question, sorry and thanks in advance.

don't matter which way they point, they send the signal down.  Besides the pointy end is for going thru water a whole lot faster than a yak can do like on motor boats.

I see, thanks for the quick reply, bro.

This video Pernicious?

Yeah, he's got the TD backwards there. And, I could be wrong, but direction does matter for that style (transom-mount). It's the round puck-style TD's that are uni-directional (shoot-thru-hull mount).

I installed the same FF backwards in my T15 for a HB 535.  Worked fine  :smt002

I think it's right.  Pointy side going towards the front when in the water.  As it sits out of the water it is backward because the flip arm has to do a twisty when it folds up, but when it is put in the water the pointy is facing forward.  I am running that set-up but instead of the side plate I just made mine out of a cutting board and using toilet bowl stud/nuts.  It actually works really well.  The only problem is that you do get weed wrapped if going through a lot of muck.  I use the ff on a aluminum as well so I wanted something easily removable.  The costs of transducers is insane so this way I just switch the transducer and the mounts stay on each vessel.

Sorry for the late reply guys, I did finally get my TDA and installed it on my T120 a couple of days ago, transducer and all.  Martianfish is right, "aquadynamics".  I haven't got the chance to test out the whole system yet, but will be launching this Sunday at SC for first test.  I do like the idea of not having to drill holes and steve's cutting board idea is sounds good.  Thanks for the help and replies guys, hope to see you all OTW one of these days.
