What was this thread about again  ???     Reading mixed reports on the Halibut catch...one  yeah, one nay.

Your going to need something more than a Scupper Pro to beat the Batmobile...   :smt044 :smt044

Double down on that bet Sailfish.

PS.  Raptor,,, paddles like a kayak,  stable like a boat.    I was going to call it a Kay-Oat !  LOL,   but Tim Niemier beat me to it with that new thermoformed SOT.  He named it" Coyote".

If a 10' wave breaks on me sideways ( or frontal for that matter )  I'll deserve it for going out in those kind of conditions. Just bury my body at sea.
BTW, It's a mono hull , not a catamaran.  Concave, planning hull , rather than a V type displacement hull.

Trifly ?

Better dust off the soloflex .

Buying one  specific boat  over another because " He's a good guy "  is kinda lame IMHO..     Like saying buy a Toyota  over a Ford because somebody else likes the guy who owns the dealership...     Where will you be fishing..  Lakes,  Bay?

Ironic. The only reason I'm even mildly interested in the Raptor is because it's built & designed by a local guy who appears to have put a lot of effort & thought into a radical new design. I respect that a lot.
Good thing fishing isn't a race. Or I'd probably have to buy a boat (see Nitro Z-9 bassboat w/225HP Mercury OB for reference..it's on sale for $39,995 right now).

   Oh,,,, The PRESSURE  . :smt010

Seriously,  it's all in fun.     I showed up at the ARW yesterday bright and early.  Kept looking for  a Scupper Pro with racing stripes.
Wasn't until I got home I realized  it's at MBK,  whew , what a relief.  That means 3 weeks to get in shape, wax the hull...

Question ?   Does Big Jim got one of those crushing handshakes that will cripple my paddling hand ? :smt044

No not at all! Jim is a limp wristed rock climber. He climbs well and hes strong. Go for the two handed shake! Thats the weakest. :smt003 :smt005

This has really been an entertaining thread  :smt044  How about a new one for this new wager?  Care to make it a bigger competition?  :smt003  I imagine a lot of guys have wanted to do a race of kayaks to find out which is the fastest  :smt004

Fastest kayak or fastest paddler? :smt044 Hate to choose sides but based on yak alone my money is on the Scupper.
