With Abalone season close I thought I would post pics of some local bounty that I have set up for some lucky divers.

Very nice, I'm assuming those are pearls. I love the top one. I always look when I clean mine, but I'm not sure where they usually are. I just end up crushing all the guts in my hand. They could only hide in so many spots right?

Cool pearls! I've only found the pearls that are attached to the shells, never any free ones in the  gut cavity. Hoping to find one this year.

How'd you make that mother of pearl look like a quarter.  :smt003

Nice stuff.  I'll look you up when I find another.  I've found a couple, but I lost them all...one way or another.

Very nice Mark! Wonder if you could do anything with my WSB stones? I've been kicking that around as a piece of jewelry.
Or a Walrus tusk I just picked up? Like a desk piece or display?

Frankie how are you? I have made pairs of "fish ears" otoliths into earrings, etc. in the past. I have a big walrus tusk that was made into a cribbage board. Walrus is very desireable ivory for scrimshaw, carving, knive handles, etc.

Absolutely fantastic Mark. I really dig the "free form" settings.
