Tried to poke a hole through the nail to relieve the pressure but I decided to play it safe and asked my doc before I went all the way. My doc reminded me that because I'm taking blood thinner medication that it was not a good idea AND I was also told that it can get infected as well....

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Sorry Bro! Can you believe that you would pay good money to have someone stick you with a hot poker and be glad they did it. Been there done that.

Sorry to hear that Mooch.  How did it happen?  Did you do it yourself or someone else?

Now why in the hell would you go and do something like that????
Never understood the hot nail/needle thing.
I always have used the tiniest drill bit I can find; almost like a jewelers bit. I just spin it back and forth between the thumb and forefinger of the non-injured hand on the injured nail.
Puts a perfect little relief hole without worrying about going too far and it only takes a few seconds.

Sad to say that I did it to myself    :smt013 I was driving home from a doctors visit and had a lot of things going on my mind. I simply slammed the door of my van with my left hand and it caught my right thumb as it was resting on the doors edge  :smt011 I instantly tried to yank my thumb out but It was stuck and so I had to grab my keys to get myself unstuck...

The worse part is that I was given clearance by my doc to go free diving (until further notice at least) and I was so looking forward to getting into the water again.  :smt012
