Hey Guys,

Is anyone else interested in attending another spearfishing/diving garage sale? The last one that was thrown, was awesome, except, I was so damn new at the time, I didnt know what to buy. There was a bunch of good stuff for cheap there too. Plus you get to meet a bunch of cool spearos and swap stories, etc.

Fuzz is there anyway your buds at SeaSniper could organize another garage sale? The last one they had in their parking lot was super awesome, and Im sure this time, there would be a pretty good turn out. I know this time, I myself have a bunch of goodies I would sell, and probably some others on here do as well. Anyways, just a thought/feeler -

Plus with all of this tax return money floatin around........it might be a good time to make/spend some extra cash!

I would be up for where ever really, but I think the last time it was kind of clutch as a midway point for the southbay folks that  came up as well. If its in the Northbay, that may be way too far for them too? Up for any and all ideas though -

You must have ESP because Fuzz has been talking with Seasniper to hammer out a date to host another swap meet.  I think the timeframe will be end of March through Early April.  I'm sure he'll announce once a date has been set.

I think it would be a good idea for Fuzz to hold a tutorial on gear and basic dive techniques.  There seems to be a lot of guys just starting out and even if it's him using dive/spearfishing jargon or showing specific gear would be help greatly.

I keep asking him to put one together as it would help a lot of the newer divers start off with a good basic understanding of the sport.

Ya, we (hosted at SeaSniper again) were thinking the 26th...  will do something soon & let you guys know.  :)

As for diving training, if anyone's interested, I'd be happy to go over any gear, techniques, or dive strategies.
I'll start another thread with that info.

This event was great last year. I got some gear to get into diving and also got a lot of info from Fuzz and some of the other guys there.

I know im looking for some dive fins, & a mask. Ive been searching Craigs list for a while, and im only seeing scuba fins, and im thinking about just buying new, as apparently the fins wear out/go limp.

I probably fall under the category of newb for diving, Ive only been ab diving like 5 times, but the last 2 times i went i got it down pretty good and was pulling abs from ~20 feet.

Ive considered taking up spear fishing... only problem is I live 3 hours from the ocean right now, and I already have enough hobbies. lol, but abs are just plain tasty, and i can get fish with a rod/reel.

Looking forward to the swap meet.  As for location, why not meet in between and have it somewhere in East Bay.  :smt003

what day?  did I miss that?

I really want to dive, but $$ for gear.....  for something of an unknown frequency....

how much should a guy budget for a 7mil, mask, fins, weights, spear at the garage sale?  or is that more than will be available?

again showing my noob side  :)
