Retention Question

This might seem a little cult-ish, but I'm wondering the what/why about members who are super into NCKA, then become the mayor of Splitsville.  Ex.  I Likey Fish ("jai boi"  ), HobieSport, and others.  I don't think I'm inaccurately perceiving a merely seasonal phenomenon. 

Had kids? got another life? No WAF? Got their feelings hurt? Unlike me who has nothing afore mentioned! ; )

I am still here, except newb every season new kayak all the time Jai Boi sold his kayak already to baitNbeer, I really thought he was coming back this year will see...

There is not enough weekends for me in a week to do all the fun events on NCKA.  I love the choices (Hookups)

I've wondered that as well.  Didn't MolBasser go back to school for his PHD or something, or was it to brew beer?  I lurked for years and years before buying a yak and all the gear, I've seen a lot on here.  I frickin love this website.  The GF used to complain about me being on my laptop all the time looking at "fishing stuff" I'm not telling her about Tapatalk!!!!  I did miss out on a few things over the years though, what happened to BAM?  Does anyone fish lake mendo anymore?

I too wonder what happened to the "Jai Boi!"  And Hobiesport/Matt was very much all-in during his stint.  Hate to say it, but I think they recognized their addiction and sought out a cure (unlike the rest of us!  ).
