Sand Dabs - Coast Guard jetty?  Forecast is looking good...
Sunday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming WNW around 6 kt in the afternoon. Sunny. N swell 1 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

Launching between 7 am and 10...i know, but the wife is with me so we might just look around a bit.  Planning to paddle out to the red can and fish for sand dabs in 150ft or so.  If I can pick up about a dozen for dinner i'll paddle in and fish @ the jetty with shrimp looking for surf perch.

Back up plan - if the ocean forecast turns around and becomes sloppy i'll be fishing from shore probably in the PG or West of Lover's Point for rockies..i might do that if I get a shot anyways.

Hey Tony,

that sounds like a good idea, but I talked to my wife and she is pretty keen on the Monterey idea.  If that for whatever reason gets cancelled i'll come out and join you.  I'm planning to skip the game at whatever cost though.

One other problem - only one of the three fishes you mentioned start with S!

Just tell her that the Sac Port parking area is almost as scenic as 17 mile drive! :smt044

There are SSSSturgeon in there but I haven't seen one caught this year.
