Here is a cheesy video I found of the area where we will be digging. And, what is expected of the size of gold to be found.  There are some bigger chunks that show up, but this is usual of what we get there. My guess, is he probably put 5-8 5 gallon buckets through his sluice to get this. Not bad, but if he worked a little more, maybe would fit into smaller jeans!

Ryan will probably go with me. He loves that stuff. We'll just have to keep them busy so they can't throw too many rocks. Lol.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Anyone want to carpool from Santa Rosa?  I also see that it says 1/9, Sunday... so is this a day trip or camp?

I may have to bow out, but thanks for the opportunity, Rich.  Just too much crap that needs done for me to pull it off and still be ready for work come Monday.

NO problem Eric. Ben it is just a day trip.  I am planning a kayak camp trip down the American later in the summer form Yankee Jim Bridge or even Iowa Hill bridge to the 193 bridge. Looking at Google Earth, there looks to be some prime areas, that are only accessible by water.

I won't be able to make it. I got activated to be on a 24/7 on call cycle starting Friday. Poker is still on at my house Saturday night.

Will you be going down on SOT or river yaks??? Also will this be an overnighter?

Count me in!  I've got a sluice, some pans, shovels, bucket, knee pads (I wished I'd had them last time), a few other assorted items, and very little experience.  It'll be good to meet you guys, even if it's not on the water!
