I know I put at least 150 beers in there...of course there may be quite a few less by the time the ManVan actually gets there!!

Andy's driving first...that will give me time to decompress, relax and sip on one or two before its my turn for a spell at the wheel...once he retires from the wheel I think he and his cousin(?) Scruffy are gonna be working on decreasing the overall weight of the van by emptying beers down their throats!!

 

Another hour or so of work...go pick up my daughter from day care, drop her off with a different baby-sitter, book down to Salinas and GET ON THE EFFING ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey boys and girls,

I'm showing up at the cove tomorrow late morning with two fresh giant(both are over ten inches)abalone for snacks. Someone has to volunteer to prepare and cook them for an evening get together. I bring em you cook em. Let me know, or I'll have to leave them behind. They were harvested today and currently reside live in their shells on a bed of ice. Can't wait to arrive and see you all.

Did I mention that you are all INSANE. The Andy and Jim show is killing me, I can just picture that van ripping up the road with a bunch of lunatics inside, talking shi-, fishing stuff, drinking beer, laughing, singing, just road tripping to the rainbow's end. You two knuckle draggers remind me of Cheech and Chong.

BigJim, drinking all the beer isn't going to save an ounce on that man van weight.  It is "depositing" the remains of all that beer along 101, and Shelter Cove Road that is going to reduce the weight

Can we get gas in the cove?

Yes, there's a General store about 1.5 miles before the cove which is the only gas station there.  I would fill up at gas station in Gaberville at the corner of Redway road.
