Andy left out some key details:

*PMs on Wednesday...
FM1:You thinking about a Commando run up north?
Me:  Please son, I only make commando runs.

*He stayed up till 2 am pounding frosties while his cousin was laying down his new ink. At the end of the day he said he wanted to come out and impress me......when I'm hungover I don't drive 4 hours to get beat up in the water only to spend 6 hours driving home in traffic. Consider me impressed  :worship

*Salmon Creek was pumping with non-stop close period head high to overhead groundswell.  I thought it would taper off as we headed North but it did not....well not by very much.  The Cove had some verrrry thick powerful slabs moving through it.  When we were done diving we talked with a couple other cats who just got out of the water, they reported that the Ft was the only diveable spot between there and Pt Arena, everywhere else was blown up.

*Viz was patchy from about 5' in some pockets to less than 12" in others.  At one point I found a hole with a couple meaty abs in it, I popped 1 then dropped it in my float and returned to the same hole only to find that the vis had gone to sh*t when I returned on a second drop.  It was fluctuating with each passing swell and by far the best technique was to descend and brace on bottom and hope the surge would clear things out and open it back up.  Worked about 50% of the time.
-Side Note, when we dropped off our gear at the beach and Andy was walking back down from the parking lot he ran into some guys that were walkin up, they reported crap vis and the whole group blanked. I will not repeat what he said but he was confident that his skills would not produce the same results  :smt004

*When I first started surfing, me and Hippy Mike used to make fun of the fruitcakes in the lot that were helping each other put their wetsuits on, I vowed to never take part in such funboy behavior.  I'm sad to report that my vow has been broken and because of Andy and his dive suit my reputation has been sullied.
-Side Note, Andy wears the same wetsuit as a famous person.......guess who she is!

*Andy lost his dive light in a hole then we split to another spot to find better vis.  Vis sucked everywhere so we returned and Andy re-found his dive light in the hole he left it in.

*Fat guys get fat abs.....Andy you need to eat more carnitas if you ever want to pop abs like me kid.

*I seen two fish, a big greenling and a stupid rainbow perch that swam right into my speartip.

*The autographed pics of Mooch riding a lingcod are everywhere.  The guy at the divieshop said kids come in and get freaked out by it  :smt001

*Ab Irons make great bottle openers, I will now carry one on my keys.

*Six tags gone....only 18 more to go  :smt003
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker
