Dines or no Dines I will still be there.  If the mackerel shows up that would be sweet catching a handful of those while I'm hoping for my first WSB.

Oh and buy the way, I will be bringing a surf rod sit up with Carolina rigged and live bait hook. Want to get out to the 20' depth where who knows what are lying in wait.

Bring some sardine popsicles if you want to surf fish Frank. MBK is a wasteland. The best bet is sanddabs at 90-110' with a flylined squid just in case. Wish I could make it but out of WAF. :-(

Those sardines have been coming & going all week. They were there Tuesday afternoon, then gone Tuesday night, then back Wed afternoon, then gone Thursday morning, etc. Some macks cruised through the other night, along with some predatory fishies. I'll be there late Sunday afternoon.

Sounds like it would be fun to jump in the water there and see what might follow the bait fishies in....and then shoot them. :smt003

Wish I was gonna be in town!!!!!!!!

Have fun guys!!

Hey WOODY!   :smt002  Think I'll be able to join in the fun with Sara and Quinn!  So, Sunday BBQ/Potluck sounds like fun ;)  I'd really like to learn to throw a cast net too, if someone is willing to teach that is!

Sin coast. How was there wind today? I  don't know the typical wind patterns out there with the fog looming. It was terrible on Wed. Sand was blowing horizantally across the beach.

It was definitely rougher than NOAA forecasted today. But I wasn't OTW, just stopping by to say Hi to some of the guys during my lunchbreak. Maybe EWB or Mike will chime in.     There is a mixed swell building. And the WX buoy says it's blowing 14kts from the west right now.

IT SUCKED... Actually it blew. Lets see this is how my day went.....No fish (not a nibble), seasick (puked twice) and fell out of the boat when an 8 ft swell met a small swell in the opposite direction! Should have stayed in bed! Oh and yeah no bait fish.

The mixed swell was bad. Saw some 8 ft faces and breaking swell in 100 FOW. If you are planning on heading out there tomorrow I wouldn't supposed to be even more wind.

Thanks for the intel EWB. That's helpful to make decissions easier. Even if it's what you don't want to hear it's very helpful.
