With all the Sardines at MBK I got to thinking that a roundup of sardines to BBQ might just be the ticket to another NCKA day in the sun for fun. Bring a Kayak but family is way more important.
I haven't spent a lot of time with my teenager so I thought I would throw this out there. BBQ, Pot Luck and family.
This isn't written in stone and the shoal may leave. But the sun will be there and the fun of it is just spontaneous. Feedback please!

Frank, I'd first like to say congrats once again sir on catching your first wsb :D That is one beauty!!

If you do have a BBQ, I will come by for a few hours to hang out and just spend time with good friends :D

As for the sardines, they are still in from last check. I might be going out to the wharf tomorrow night after work just to see if something surprising bite the end of my line :

Actually, will be there on Saturday to play golf but I think I'll stay another day just to see if I can still throw my net and try for that elusive WSB again.  If the dines are that thick and shallow enough we will get them.  BBQ behind MBK?

I don't want to spoil anyone's plans, but I spoke to some guys that fished out of MBK today and they said the sardines moved on away from the beach.  I was hoping they would still be there.

If the sardines are gone, how about macs? LingKing dropped by the wharf to get some fresh bait and saw some local pier friends who were hooking up with some spanish macs. He's gonna be fishing tonight, I'll find out more info. Hopefully they and the Pacifics come through soon :)

How about jigging up some squid?!

I had some fresh ones earlier in the week and was amazed at the difference. That's how squid should taste like!  :thumleft:

I am in for whatever we can bring up to the table.
When I was a kid our whole family use to meet at places like Pescadero, Sunset, or Half Moon Bay, where we would do just that. We would have thirty family members show up and if the tide was right we would collect seaweed (soup), clams (steamed), and fish. Great times and memories. Bring nets and sabiki set ups.
