 The VA is doing what they can to help in the food department, I'm just waiting to see how were doing on this and what we get donated over the next week to tell them what we need...

I'm expecting that I'll have them bring drinks, paper plates, utensils, if they get a little more, I might have them get some of the bigger food items, maybe just pastries or something for breakfast instead of cooking of a breakfast burrito thing...

we are going to be very busy that morning and it might just take everything we have to put on a lunch for that day...

 About Everything....

is the group camp site near the water? or is it in the regular campground?

It's very near the water. And if one of us get's there early enough it will be  easy access to the water and extended to the beach. According to Don we only have it for the night before and it is reserved for the next day.

Just to keep everyone up on whats happening food wise, seems to be the bigest problem at the moment, but slowly getting handled, here is a paste and copy I'm doing with Frankfishing and Kayakjack....

we are also going to need lots of extra fishing gear and VHF radios....

The VA top Rec Therapist is going to help with some stuff, but I have to be specific, and they only buy for Vets...
and, not sure when they are going to shop for stuff, so perishable items may not be the best for them to buy... so

50 paper plates, cups, utensils, drinks, ice, mustard/mayo/ketchup ( in case of sandwiches with roasted turkey and chicken), sliced bread, fruit salad stuff, watermelon, catalope, grapes, strawberries, whatever in season, yogart, granola, 50 hot dogs and buns, water, 50 ears of corn...

Mariam, VA Rec , has $100 cert to Safeway,

 not sure what to have her buy, more paper plates etc..  ice, breakfast pastries, snacks, granola bars, cookies (they try to stay healthy, no doughnuts ), maybe hot dogs if the VA1 does not come thru,

I should be able to get 40 to 50 bucks worth of goods from trader joes...  corn chips? water... it's what they suggested they could give...

Walmart,  I have a $50 certificate coming, don't know what to get there...

 Pete's Coffee, still working on picking up some gallon buckets from them that morning in Livermore....

Going to try and contact Foster Farms in Livermore and get 25 cut up chickens donated... Jacks father in law picks up

If things are not busy enough right now, There really going to get crazy starting next week..

still waiting for EBRP, should know soon....

Do we still want to try a breakfast burritto thing?

The VA buses may not be getting there till closer to 10 now and that would be the bulk of this food for lunch, breakfast may be tight...  maybe take the Walmart cert and trader joe thing and get the fixins for breakfast burritos... lots of stuff, but we may be in a bit of limbo waiting for them that morning,  many will be driving themselves, but the food they buy and bulk of Vets will be coming on the buses...

I am working on getting some corn if you want to bbq some. Only hiccup will be getting it from Brentwood area to DV. Nothing set in stone but I will know in a day or two.

  the foster farms puckered out, even though they do donate, they said that they only donate to central valley locations, they were very nice and I do anticipate their help in the future. If nothing else, I think we just got a contact for Brain1976 in Fresno.
