Don,

They are giving two cases of corn (I am guessing 100 ears). Perhaps a list of what is still needed and ppl can sign up for items (food wise). I will being some charcoal....Also happy to just toss some cash your way if that's simpler.

No problem, Don. I'll leave the camera in the bag. Don't want to upset anyone.

No, That is not nessasary, you can take pictures, just have to be a bit careful...

and it is a HIGH priority to figure out which of the Vets do not want to be photographed...

I have an idea,  could you help me with that?  I'll introduce you to each counselor and rec therapist and you could figure out which ones really don't want to be photographed.

That would be a great help...

That's not a bad idea,,, I really won't know till we get close as to what is still missing,

and then, might still be a mystery...   hate to duplicate items...

If the VA comes through with what I asked for, we should be looking good, and then it's just a matter of covering whatever Kayakjack buys, and would like to cover GB2's 48 hot dogs, buns and stuff, so that is where we need to pass a hat around for small donations, I would expect the cost of all that to be somewhere between $100 to $200 bucks...

But, if I get a good read on what is missing, and I'm falling behind, I will do just that and put out a list of items....

  Thanks Again

I am going out to valley ford to look at the bbq today. i am trying to figure out whether to use wood or charcoal. wood burns longer and is much cheaper but takes longer to get going. Spike is towing the bbq down there and i hope he can get there early enough to use wood. can anyone bring wood? my truck will be loaded to the gills. Don i think we should think about throwing 5 more chickens into the mix.

Arranging for some more volunteers. Need to know what picnic area at Del Valle and when you want the volunteers to be there. Will be able to take 4-5 at a time on the pontoon boat. Will bring enough tackle for 5 people. Probably troll up to the dam, fish bait for stripers, cats and trout at the dam then motor back. If another NCKA wants to join me, that would be great. Will need a hand deploying the trolling lines and helping the vets.

Whatever you think would be best...

Spike said the grill works on charcoal and I do believe he is going to camp the night before.

but, I'm sure you can make it work with whatever you want...

I don't need to be reimbursed for the dogs that I bring. Will take it as a tax deduction.

do you know what time they start inspecting?  I plan to be there around 6:30 to 7 so i can get the boat in the water and prepped.  if any of the fishing volunteers wants to come out with me to do some scouting i'd be happy to do so.

i can fit up to three + me comfortably on my boat, but i only have enough seats for 2 so if one extra wants to come along they'll need to sit on one of my sides or up front on the bow.

my boat is optimized for trolling but i have one of those fancy i pilot trolling motors so i can drift pretty easy and handle the boat even while helping out the vets.

remember, 10mph speed limit on the lake, i'm not sure if charlie's boat can go that slow  :smt003

oh, i'm bringing the revo too, if someone can keep an eye on it for me that would be great, it should be a fairly easy learning curve for any vet who would be capable of riding a bike.

Scott count me in as 1st mate. I was going to bring the yak but I may not have enough room. Don, I have a couple of massive coolers do we need more of them?
