Anyone fishing or planning to fish for White Sea Bass? I am hearing about sportfishers catching them off Morro Rock and the Coke Plant? off Pismo Beach State Park up to 50 pounds.

I'm looking to go myself when the ghosts are closer to my neck of the waters. I'm also hearing reports of them being caught here in nor cal.

If you do go out, let us know how you do. I hope you catch some fatty ghosts brother!! :)

I am up for it tomorrow morning... not sure if you watched the vid of the white shark eating a WSB off a guys line yesterday... but I am up for it, where do you launch from to get to the coke plant?  I heard the bite has slowed a little off the rock.

LukeP,

I can't go the next week. Maybe I can get away the following week. The WSB are supposed to be at the far south end of Pismo Beach State Park. You should see the "flotilla" from the beach, or maybe the Rangers know where the Coke Plant is. Sorry, I don't. Good luck if you go, and let me know how you do.

Maybe 15 feet at best!  Cool video anyhow.  I bet they are glad to be in a boat.

A colleague just showed me pic's of the 3 he caught from his PB yesterday by the red buoy out of HMB.
All 40lb + on live squid. On the video he showed me it looked like a lake out there.

I've been seeing the PBs out on the north side of Morro Rock towards Cayucos ... you will see the boats all gathered together from Hwy 1.  Go get em ...
