WTB wetsuit for my friend

Since I got my kayak, all I
can think of is kayak fishing lol. I truly understand the meaning of "madness"!

Every week I have gone kayak fishing with a friend who I consider as my little brother. Being the "older brother", I naturally feel obligated in looking out for his safety and well-being. He recently had his 1st capsize on open ocean waters and without a wetsuit!!

Having said that, I would like to find him one. If anyone has an extra one that is not being used, I would be interested in getting one for him.he is approximately 5'8", 135lbs.

Asides from checking out craigslist, you can also call dive shops.  They sell their rental suits for cheap.  I've seen some for like $25.  Good luck and WTG for being a good hyung.

Dude I've got an old O'Neill farmer john suit from high school that Ryan can have for $20. But it's got some 1990's neon-tastic graphics lol...

If you don't get ahold of anything at a reasonable price I have an old Hotline he can have....I was about 170lbs when I wore it but it'll be better than nothing. 

Jonathan, thank you my chingoo for your insight I'll be keeping my eyes out on CL, as well as call a few local dive shops here to see if they have any on sale now or in the near future. I'll need one for him before the MBK tourney, or else he and I will be getting a serious talk from our caring caring brothers and sisters that day.

hey everybody, this is ryan, the newbie who needs a wetsuit, same guy dpshim's always mentioning on here. this is my first ever post on NCKA. just wanted to to say thanks to all of you who were generous enough to offer me some old/used wetsuits for such a bargain/free. i'm glad my request to join the NCKA forum has been approved after my last failed attemp(dont know why) didn't go through. anyways thanks again and look forward to meeting and sharing with my new fam.

I saw some brand new 3mm trisuits at sports basement sunnyvale for pretty cheap.  They also will likely be selling their rental inventory (like most rental shops) at the end of the season.  Didn't see any kayak specific suits.  Matter of fact, you are only about 2-3 weeks away from MBK's fleet reduction sale, so this weekend might be a good time to check for sales down at the tourney.

Dude Ryan I'll bring that extra suit on Sunday if you wanna check it out. It's a 3mil farmer john w/the jacket, but it's from like 1996 and definitely doesn't fit me anymore. Oh and it's got some sweet neon green graphics too!

Welcome Ryan, I was at the goodwill store on Lighthouse in monterey,across the street from bamboo reef, they had a nice surfsuit for $12 bucks.back in the left corner with some snowsuits. Check it out, the price is right...

hey thanks for the heads up DC. but fortunately for me PK has givin me his old farmer johns, very nice of him. i wanna try them out and see how they work out for me. hopefully/most likely they'll do jsut fine. thanks again PK!
