Posted it on my facebook page last night and woke to find that one of my non-yak fishing buddies (actually, I friend since we met as kids in 1969) had replied with:

I will be a non paddling sponsor on this. Will cost you a beer my friend to meet and collect my donation :)

These past few days have restored my faith in humanity.  :smt001

not sure if i can meet the donation (already paid in the office...x2) but i will see if i can attend and get some sponsors.

oops....I won't be able to attend.  Family wedding that i committed to a few months ago.  No wonder that day sounded so familiar.  I'll still see if i can get some sponsors.

Hey guys we need some volunteers for a few things.

First off Jim and I will go to the CAP beach early that morning to set up the eazy up, but wre gonna need more help.

-Hanging at beach to set-up stuff for potluck/celebration, prolly early in the AM day of the event.
-Shuttling people back at the end, back to our cars at the harbor. ( Slight inconvenience we have to pay for doing such a wonderful thing)

-Anything else?

These are all good things that non-yaking family members/friends can help with ...the more yaks we get out there the better!!!

So if we can get these spots filled, or someone can be in charge of this that would be really cool....  Its is a must do..

The Doc says I can't paddle until August or September so that my rotator cuff can fully heal from my surgery...

SCREW THAT!

Count me in.  Worst case, I'll fizzle out and have Mr. Garcia tow me behind his fine boat.  :smt002  More likely scenario: I tough it out in honor of Mooch!  :smt003

You're welcome to borrow my revo...come join the dark side.   :smt002  :smt044

Ok guys... Making a little change here to this event....

We are still launching out of the SC harbor, and we will return to the harbor.

The post paddle festivities will be held at Twin Lakes Beach, right next to the harbor. This will make life much easier, its super close and there always huge groups gathering there...

Sorry for the confusion! This all came together in about 24 hours, wasn't sure what to expect as far as participation goes. But so glad to see it getting bigger...

This beach is much larger and we will just blend in.

Ill update the paddle path as well as the information needed!

Allen will be speaking to the harbor master, as we will have a large group in and out! Were gonna need to be real sure everyone follows the harbor rules, which we can post later, Allen was kind enough to step up and put his name on the line for us.

Stay tuned... Im at work now so may not update the paddle and flyer till this evening!

Thanks for being patient... This s gonna be even better now!

Nice adjustment Porky! That will make things much easier for all.
I'm still wrangling to get clearance, I had prior commitments but I'm working on being there. Will register once I am sure.

Harbor beach/7th Avenue.....great choice I was going to suggest same.  Firepits and always big groups there..Beware parking is a hassle, best to pay for a permit at the harbor.

I wil give Dennis Smith a call today or on Monday.

God Job Brent.
