Why not launch and land from the boat ramp? Then it is a short walk to the beach

yeah man... if thats legal, then lets do it, lets see what Allen says, as he has got the inside sccop with the harbor master... im not sure how they will feel about 30 or more yaks at the main launch, but that would be GREAT! Perfect actually!

We used to have the Kayak Connection derby at the main ramp. Never had any issues.

The Doc says I can't paddle until August or September so that my rotator cuff can fully heal from my surgery...

Count me in.  Worst case, I'll fizzle out and have Mr. Garcia tow me behind his fine boat.    More likely scenario: I tough it out in honor of Mooch!

As Mooch would tell you, I joined the Dark Side years ago.    My Outback is a fat pig though, and I'd almost rather try paddling my newer T160 than peddling the Outback for 5 miles.    Thanks for the offer though!

Still 5miles as it reads on the flyer, Prolly slightly under 5 miles.

The flier has already been distributed, so I cant change the fact that it says BBQ and Raffle at Capitola beach..

The BBQ is now at Twin Lakes/Harbor beach, right there at the harbor..
