Mike, I don't know much about the camping scene round here...I know there are spots at New Brighton, and up HWY 9 a bit, and then all the way down in Watsonville...

You running low on $$ and need a place to park/couch to crash on, just shoot me a PM and we will work it out.

Hi Scott,
6'1" or so, 175-80. If you're still offering, I'll use the FJ. I have booties that still fit. I'm more concerned with my wife if she is still going to paddle. She's only been in the yak a couple of times. Does real well, good balance. I just want to make sure she'll be OK. Maybe she can fit in my old surf suit?? Probably not. I was offered to use a Trident-13 I think for her or me. I have a T-160 DH. which boat do you think is more stable? The Tarpon seems a little tippy at times. I don't worry about it personally. I've been in really bad water and had no problem. Want wife on the more stable. I'll check on suit for her around here to borrow. Everytime I've been to the coast in that area the water has looked pretty good.
   Thanks for the help, Rob

Rob -

I will bring a FJ and dry top for you. This is a moderate distance paddle with a late start on the ocean, so something  to consider is paddling a tandem with your wife. I have a Malibu 2 XL which you can use if desired.

And bring my crabtrap too Sledge. There m/b a few dungies crawling around Santa Cruz. You might want to save Sunday for fishing too---there are better spots on the south side of the bay near Monterey & Carmel. Maybe we can hit one of the good spots on Sunday if not too hungover/drained from the Pay It Fwd Paddle!
