Went out early this morning and decide to go out of the kelp beds to do some top water action since there wasn't any wind. I landed a 42" striper weighing in at 32lbs can you say a great morning?

On a completely unrelated note... what kind of scale did you use & where can I buy one?    :smt003

Congadulations on the solid fish. Unless you are a giant and have a 3 foot wide chest it is more like a ten pounder, but it is a nice one.

Easy guys...I'm not sure about the weight, but there is nothing in this photo to indicate it's NOT 42".  The fish looks to be close to twice the width of his shoulders, which should cover 42", and according to the chart below, 32lbs is about right. The last (only??) 10lb striper I caught was 29" if I recall, and this fish has to be bigger than that.  He's not even doing the Fish Sniffer pose.  Dude, I believe you!
