Took the new boat out for the first time to get some fish blood on it!!

Was hoping to have company, but ended up going out solo...

Felt a little wobbly at first compared to my old BigYak bath-tub, but after a few minutes I settled in and it was ALL GOOD!!!!  What a great ride!!!  Loved having SPACE and STORAGE and how EASY it was to paddle!!

Threw back my first small rockie after a smooch for good luck, and then picked my way through 10 or so pinners to keep three big enough for the skillet!!

Then spent several hours drifting for Halibut...no love.

Even though the fishing was slow I had an awesome time and managed to bring home dinner!!

Good times!!!!!

Sincerely,

Jim

Nice dude. Sorry I didn't make it out. One too many beers with an old friend who surprised me when he stopped by.

Stoked you enjoyed your new boat.

This is the one we use for the whole pan fried fish:

Next time we hook up to go fishing I can bring you some to try!

Nice job Jim

Would have gone out, but need to work on my boat and I somehow got an incorrect wind forecast.

How was the weather? Looks nice in the pics...

Nice Maiden Voyage BigJim!  I was gonna head out to Capitola sunday but weather reports all indicated a small craft advisory with some pretty strong winds rolling through, from your pictures that definitely doesn't seem to be the case.  I should have made the drive!!!  Anyway congrats on a good day.
