Hi Jim, Congrats on your new boat, it looks like it fits you better!! You added some information about 19 pool noodles, I have never heard of anything like that, but I am new to this so that is not a surprise. Is this something that needs to done to all SOT Yaks?

Thanks,

Kicker   :smt006

I stuffed mine full and then opened the hatch filled it with water and told a couple of 13 yrs "try to sink it" they tried and tried...nothings unsinkable...but it helps...

Kicker u can pick them up @ a variety of places, I got mine at the $$$ store...there what u see kids using to float in pools...also a variety of uses: cut a short section and put it on your net handle, also glue a section to hull for transducer on FF...lots of things

Beautiful ride Jim,

I'm especially fond of blue yaks, guess why?

So you've already bloodied it which is great. Have you done the final christening? That requires one or more of the three "P's".

Pee,

Puke,

or Poop off (not on) of it. :smt006

Alright, I give up, why do you like blue yaks more than other colors??

I have peed off it, drank beer on it, launched and landed through the surf on it, and caught fish off it...  :smt004

Have never puked or pooped from a yak, so really don't plan on adding those to the christening process!!

Sincerely,

Jim

Kicker,

I was able to fit the noodles along the sides of the hull and there is still plenty of room in the middle for storage of rods, safety gear, wheelz etc...

Not a stupid question at all...seems weird to me to stuff the yak with pool noodles, but seems to be the popular consensus that they will help with floatation if your yak starts taking on water, and that sounds good to me!!
