Capitola 5-9-10

Saturday, affter the MBK class, Sara and I drove down Hwy 1 to Capitola and took a look at the water there and it was just beautiful!  Glassy, no wind, just wonderful out there!  So I decided I would hit it up on Sunday while Sara enjoys the day with a friend.   

I get out there, unload, see a beautiful sunrise and there is no wind, little cloudy, but looks like it will be a nice day. Not many people out there, guessing since its mothers day.  Get out to the first kelp bed and do some pot-holing the kelp, and catch my one and only fish for the outting.   

Then the wind started to pick up, and the sun rose up above the clouds giving no more heat, and it started to sprinkle.  Decided to head after only a few hours fishing and just got back to the beach when it started pouring!  Didn't know it was going to rain or I might have stayed home to work on gear for GMS4.

Yeah after Saturday the weather kinda took a dive....had yesterday off work and made the right call by getting gear together for GS4 instead of going out cuz it rained off and on all day yesterday.

Sorry your trip was cut short by the weather...at least you got a few hours in though!!!

May have been the one an only fish...but at least it was out of the yak. And that first pic is a nice one, would make a killer screen saver

There was that short little window Sunday morning, & then it all fell apart.
