Was gonna go tomorrow for the Salmon but couldnt pass conditions like what I had today. A little foggy in the morning but higher fog for the central coast standards. Launched at 0900 and was back on the beach at 1830. Alot of trolling and my back is sore already might have to hit the mineral springs tonight to relax the back... Trolled 17miles down to cayucos and well I had to come back and a zig zaged back. Not much bait the whole way down there. Excitement of the day is a ??? fish... Was reeling it in and was pulling line and was strong even pulled the sinker release so much I lost a 1lb ball... Not sure what it was had a good fight for about 3 minutes. Hoping was just a ling or at least thats what im telling myself. Slow for all today 3 fish is all I heard of over the radio and 5 lings... Till Next time...  I did get too rockfish while drifting for hali along the the way in.

34 miles in a dry suit. You must have roasted! Super effort, thanks for the report.

17 miles is a $h&%load of paddling!  Nice one.

I say it was a salmon (the 3 minute fight).   :smt003
