About 10 Kayak anglers showed up - 2 kayakers caught 1 a piece and a bonus striper. Another borderline halibut was caught but released. Pics to follow....

Marv and I got to launch at about 9AM. Otobe, H-Toledo and Fishunter were on the water already. I was fishing blind so I followed Marv around. Marv pointed out a slope and as soon I paddled to the spot, I got a nice take down = FISHON! The fish made some nice runs while I kept the drag loose (I was using 12# mono leader with a wide gap wire hook - no stinger and a shiner on the business end) as soon I saw color, I could see the entire hook just on the very outer lip of the halibut. Took my net out and got it on the first swoop....and then the hook pops out. Timing could have not been better :smt002 Second fish came in a few hours later- a nice striper took a trooched shiner. What a day! It was a gorgeous day - no wind at all till about the time we all left - around 4PM.

I'll let the others chime in with their report and pics....

Here's my 2 of the day...
