Way to get it done. Keeper hali and a keeper bass, beautiful day on the bay. Thats living large in my book. I don't here about you guys using lures much, it seems like most of you  use bait. I guess I need to switch to bait to increase my average.( Lure guy).

Thought the halibut committed hara kiri, rather than be caught alive.  :smt005

I was thinking about it out there today while I was at work.... :smt012 Off for 10 days and as soon as I go back to work the ocean and the bay flatten out.....typical. Glad you guys made good use of a perfect day out there. I'm sure the folks on the pier let that guy have it rightfully so. Was anyone able to make any bait? I couldn't scratch up a thing on Friday. Sounds like a regular plastic armada OTW!! Do ya think we piss off the PBers being out there?

Flurry of action in the morning, then nothing all afternoon.  I missed two bites and had another shiner bit in half.   :smt011

I will get a few pics up later.

Great to be out on the bay with my real_family again. Even better that Mooch came up and hit the target, right in front of me. Good to witness other hits and action, for it is very inspiring
I felt like a virgin out there. I even got a 'bit queasy a few times(lack of time OTW in'10) CarrierPig on flew over the house late Sat afternoon as I was doing yard labor. Next thing I know, I'm going to Paradise!!
Met up at the baithouse, got my lucky3 and we were at the pier by 730. I used a 3-way swivel and got one good grab, run&putout. The 3 seconds of fight i got, sure made me excited.
Water was dirty all day. hit the water at bottom low tide and it seemed most action was during the tail-end of the bottom tide(as the current almost stopped). The northern point current is kinda strange. Even as the flow was going out, there were eddys that would push you northward. I got dizzy trying to figure it out. :smt009
