SALMON SEASON NEWS!! ITS OPEN!!

Recreational fisheries in California are for Chinook only and run from Memorial Day
through Labor Day weekends in the Eureka/Crescent City area, and from April 3 to
September 6 in areas further south; however, fishing will be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday south of Point Arena. Fishing will be open from 12:45pm until 1:24pm on Saturdays, 2:35pm until 4:20pm on the second and third Sundays of every month, and 7:16am until 9:49am on the first and fourth Mondays of every month. The minimum size limit will be 44 inches for Chinook coastwide

When will this regulation take effect?  Immediately or May 1st?
