Looking for salmon windows - 4/7/10

When it gets nice I aim to be dragging bait at Shelter Cove.  Wednesday has some potential but doesn't look great:

.WED...N WIND 5 TO 10 KT...BECOMING W. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS...BECOMING 3 FT. NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT. SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS.

Anyone who's interested please speak up.  Watch out because I will drive down there multiple times in hopes of good conditions so I can salmon troll.  I'll likely have a much more spirited and enticing hookup post once flat water returns.   

   Hope the window opens for you Eric. If the forecast was better I would consider the run up as work is still in the toilet. Looking forward to your next salmon video....

Eric im feeling you and will be trolling to the south of you in SLO the cove is just to much of a drive for me. Wx down here doesnt look much better... Good Luck and maybe we both will have fish to show come wednesday night...

The forecast is holding for a potential Wednesday afternoon shot.  Shelter Cove can be nicely protected from a northwest swell.Thursday the ocean's apparently out again until further notice...

I won't push my luck or waste my chances.  I might not be able to do it anyway.  Turns out my family is on vacation this week, and I might get in deep trouble for taking time off NOT to do stuff with them!     I've got a grade school teacher, 5th grader, and 1st grader...  "get in the truck, we're going to Shelter Cove for boogie-boarding (oh, and Dad's going salmon trolling for a few hours)."

forecast for wednesday has improved...

Wednesday: NNE wind 9 to 11 kt becoming WNW in the afternoon. Sunny. W swell 5 to 7 ft at 12 seconds. Wind waves around 2 ft.

I would go for it if I lived up there.

Wednesday afternoon may well be a good opportunity...

We'll see if I can pull off ditching the family in the late afternoon to speed down there for some fishfinder-less trolling out by the Bell...
