Well, I survived my surgery yesterday.  Unfortunately, my surgeon's strong belief that it would be a simple "tidying up" turned out to be wrong.  When they got in there they found a tear in my rotator cuff...which means my recovery time will be longer than expected.    Pics to follow. 

Bummer!  Rotator cuff does take a while to heal....  you'll just need to go hobie style

At least they found it on the first go around.
Mine was Jan. 15th and I still don't have full range of motion and it still hurts but is improving slowly day by day.
I hit a milestone on Monday. I was able to cover my right ear with the palm of my right hand. Might not seem like a big deal, until you can't.
Take it very slow and easy and definitely don't push it!!!!!!!!
Easier said than done I know.
Playstation 3 with Tiger Woods Golf helped me get thru it.

The thing is, I'm already a member of the Dark Side.    But there's no way I can lift my pig of an Outback onto our CR-V, much less my Toyota pickup.  That thing is the Oprah of the kayaking world.

Positively the worse injury that has ever happened to me is the shoulder....

Granted, Broken stuff is worse than tear, but if they open you up instead of Ortho...
