Love Hook 1 .  Kathy even answers e-mails.  Picked up a couple killer new rod holders..  Absolutely fantastic item.

Anyone else use this style?

Yeah, I really like the RAM mounts. Partly because they are good-quality Made in USA products, but also because you can easily remove them to clear the deck...in case the swell picks up while OTW and you need to surf in.

I bought one about 2 weeks ago. I like it alot more than the Scotty I had. I like the adjustability of it.

Yeah, I have 2 on one boat and 1 on another.  I like them for all the reasons already listed.  Although I had to buy the longer arms since they are on my Hobies and wouldn't have been able to pedal with the stock arms.

I think Jerry has an Outback, so this info is probably helpful.

Excellent.  Exactly what I wanted.  Used them today in SC and they worked great.  Budy ordered 1 today when we got back.

That is exactly where I placed mine.

How are you able to pedal with your rods in the holder?  I had to buy the longer arm at like $40 a pop. :smt011  More than the rod holders themselves.

i never had a problem pedaling with my rods in the holder on either my revo or my adventure.  i think it depends on how long your rod butt is.

I new for trouting and what not these would be perfect. Short rod butts on the trout rods.  But the ocean gear worked just as good.  These things can adjust in every imaginable way that there was no problem with them being in the way of my legs.

Here is a long ass ugly stick, I took the pic with my foot directly below the rod and no problem.

I tried both rods shooting out 1 side and then the criss cross.  Still no problems...

My bud has the long tube extender, he's changing his out for one of these types.

Guess it is just me then. :smt010   I have the longer arms and I still occasionally bang by toes on the rod handles.
